Wayne Rooney smiles during a training session at Carrington

Sir Alex Ferguson has quashed rumours that Wayne Rooney may be on his way to PSG, following a week of increased speculation.

On Wednesday the Daily Mail asserted that a leading commentator from France had declared that the English striker was a cert to join the Paris club, before the paper backtracked and claimed that Rooney was actually looking for a new deal at Old Trafford.

Speaking at his morning presser Sir Alex was coy on talk of a new contract but said he didn’t think there was any truth to the rumour linking his striker to PSG:

“I couldn’t tell you about new contract talks but I don’t think there is anything in that at all,”

Sir Alex also said he’ll be going into Monday’s game againsy Aston Villa at Old Trafford with the same squad, albeit with a few bumps and bruises accrued in the 2-2 draw at Upton Park on Wednesday evening:

“I have the same squad [to choose from] on Monday. I think Villa will have a real go at us.

“There are a few bumps and bruises from West Ham on Wednesday, Nemanja Vidic has a beautiful bruise on his cheek bone.

“I am quite happy to get out of that war zone without a serious injury.”

Rooney is the player that no big team would think to sold him. Players that should be sold in united are nani, anderson, fletcher and some young who doesnt impress in their loan spell.

Rooney is the player that can play as winger, midfielder, striker, support the strike so many abilities he got why united should sell him.wats if he doesnt score goal he covering the midfield leave his goalscoring role to fit in midfielder role.that not fair and sir alex should support him motivate him.
