Ajax manager Frank De Boer has spoken of striking up a deal with Manchester United that would see the club’s young talent heading to the Dutch club.

Ajax are known for being at the forefront of player development with a number of world beaters emerging from their famed academy including former former United target Wesley Sneijder and football luminaries like the De Boer brothers, Denis Bergkamp, Clarence Seedorf and of course Johan Cryuff .

With Van Der Sar taking a role with the Amsterdam club, the possibility of United striking up a partnership has become much more feasible and last week United coach Rene Meulensteen told Dutch newspaper AD just that:

“For our younger players it would be a good idea to play at Ajax rather than in the Championship, I’ll keep Edwin informed.”

And speaking with Voetbal International, it appears Ajax manager Frank de Boer agrees as he told the magazine:

”If a Manchester United talent would prefer to gain experience with Ajax than in the Championship, then it can be a very interesting option.”

This represents an exciting opportunity for United as it will allow for our young players to pick up a football education in one of the best schools available.
