Lucas Moura has revealed yet another reason as to why he rejected a move to Manchester United in favour of PSG.

The Brazilian was publicly courted by Sir Alex Ferguson last sumer before opting to head to Paris and join the likes of Tiago Silva, Javier Pastore & Zlatan Ibrahimovic.

Previously Moura has claimed that Leonardo, PSG’s sporting director, convinced him to join the French outfit but speaking in the June edition of Four Four Two, the starlet has changed his mind as to why he made his decision:

“I was really close to signing for Manchester United during the Olympics last year.

“It wasn’t an easy decision but in the end I joined PSG, largely because they allowed me to stay in Brazil until the end of the year.

“And PSG’s terms were better.”

Being able to stay at Sao Paulo longer is an understandable explanation but the addition of ‘And PSG’s terms were better’ leads me to believe there was one underlying factor in the transfer, money.

It is a well known fact that PSG are bankrolled by the Qatari royal family and they would have been able to offer him considerably more than United.

So I presume the €250k a week he earns is what he means when he says PSG offered better terms?
