Paul Scholes may call it a day again

Manchester United midfielder Paul Scholes is set to retire for a second time according to reports.

Scholes retired in 2011 but made a shock return to the United fold last January almost powering United to another title. The midfielder agreed to continue playing this season but injury has limited him to just 19 appearances, with the last coming against Fulham in January.

Scholes always said he would retire when he felt he was no longer contributing to the side and at 37 with injury dictating his season it is believed that the veteran will follow Sir Alex into retirement.

Various paper are claiming that the decision will be confirmed this Sunday prior to the game with Swansea. The Daily Mail say that he will give an ‘insightful interview’ to former team mate Gary Neville, due to be aired before the game, and he will then be named in the starting XI, allowing him to say goodbye once again to Old Trafford.
