Hernandez celebrates scoring the winner against Newcastle

Whilst his agent has confirmed Javier Hernandez will remain at Manchester United this summer, the striker’s latest comments reveal that the Mexican is less than happy with his position in the team.

There has frequently been speculation over the striker’s future this season with the Mexican having to make do with playing second fiddle to the likes of Van Persie, Rooney and Welbeck.

His agent Eduardo Hernandez has frequently told the press that his client is happy in Manchester despite interest from the likes of Juventus and Real Madrid, and this week said:

“He is very happy at Manchester United. Javier has been there three years and has won the league twice. Not many can say they have achieved that.”

But how happy can Hernandez be?

Not very according to Tuttosport who have quoted Chicharito as saying:

“I’m tired of being on the bench, I want to play. At Manchester United all in all I’m happy, but it is frustrating to play so little. I want more, luckily now I’m with the national team where I’m fine.”

Prior to his retirement Sir Alex said Hernandez wouldn’t be going anywhere and whilst his comments, if in fact true, don’t scream ‘I want out!’ they show Hernandez who is undeniably in love with Manchester United losing patience with his lack of opportunities.

With Rooney perhaps on his way out, could Hernandez see more playing time? This presents yet another issue for Moyes to deal with as he takes over the reins from Sir Alex.
