Whilst Monaco midfielder Nampalys Mendy has claimed that United are his dream club, he has no plans of joining the Premier League champions this summer.
Mendy has been linked with United this summer after refusing to sign a new deal at the Stade Louis II. Having shone as Monaco pushed for a return to Ligue 1, the midfielder dubbed a ‘carbon copy of Claude Makelele’ by Monaco scout Didier Christophe has found himself on the radar of a number of clubs including Manchester United.
But aged just 20, the youngster has decided that a move abroad isn’t in his immediate plans even if United are a team that he dreams of playing for.
Speaking to Lequipe.fr, the starlet said:
“They’re the club of my dreams. It proves that I’ve done some good things, but I want to stay in France.”
