Cristiano Ronaldo may be leaving Madrid this summer

Spanish football pundit Graham Hunter has claimed Cristiano Ronaldo will play for Manchester United again in the next 2 seasons.

Ronaldo tweeted yesterday that he had not renegotiated a new deal at the Bernabeu, causing the rumour mill to go into over drive. The former United man has 2 year’s left on his deal, and Hunter claims that he has been rejecting Real’s attempts to renew it for months as he is extremely unhappy in Madrid.

With United as well as PSG and Monaco apparently looking at signing the star, Hunter believes that he will end up at Old Trafford.

When asked if the best place for Ronaldo was Manchester United on talkSport‘s ‘Drive Time’, Hunter said:

“I think it’s a very good possibility that if Real Madrid say ‘You’re not moving anywhere this summer’ and he says ‘Ok, I’ll play my heart out for 12 months and in 12 months time I’ll be a year from being out of contract’, I think that’s the point, that unless there is a dramatic development, I do see him rejoining United.

“The interest from United, the United manager now, Sir Alex Ferguson previously, Nike and Chevrolet is a matter of fact and they think that if they can’t get him for mega money this summer then the price will inevitably be cheaper next summer because he’ll be 12 months from going out of contract.

“And I do think that irrespective of the money Monaco wave about, or people will ask you repeatedly ‘Are you sure about Mourinho and Ronaldo?’ I’m not saying he won’t play for Mourinho again that would be immature, but his choice would be Manchester United.

“At this point I see Ronaldo playing for Manchester United again in the next 2 seasons.”
