According to a report in Norwegian red top VG, Manchester United are looking to push Mats Moller Daehli on by sending him out on loan.
Daehli scored 8 goals in 29 appearances for Paddy McGuiness’ u18 side but United want him playing at a higher level and believe a loan could be the answer.
Daehli’s agent Jim Solbakken told VG:
“We are assessing Mats’ future, we’ll see how it goes the next few days and weeks. A return back to Norway may be appropriate.”
Daehli has previously trained with Ole Gunnar Solskjaer’s Molde and the side appear a viable option for the midfielder especially having sold a number of players including former United midfielder Magnus Eikrem. Solskjaer told journalists after this past weekend’s 3-1 victory over Sarpsborg that his side are indeed looking at new faces:
“We are looking for players who can complement the current stable and are happy to give us something extra.”
