Thiago

A Spanish radio station is reporting that Pep Guardiola has stepped in to snap up Thiago Alcantara from under Manchester United’s nose.

There has been little progress in United’s move for the midfielder despite confirmed interest from the club, and now it appears that Thiago’s former boss has swooped to take him to Germany.

Journalist Juanmo Castano appeared on Spanish radio station COPE  claiming that he had been told by a reliable source that Thiago, having received offers from United, Real Madrid and Bayern Munich, would be heading to the Bavarian club.

“First, we have been told that Thiago Alcantara’s future is not at Barca.

“Second, we have been told the club he has chosen. The club Thiago has chosen is Bayern Munich.

“This is from a very credible source, a source that is, lets say, directly linked to the footballer.”

Castano went on to say:

“Thiago knew that there were several players in his position, but was told by Pep Guardiola on the phone that he was moving Javi Martinez to centre back as Marcelo Bielsa did with him at Athletic Bilbao.”

Castano would go on to cover his bases by saying due to the nature of the transfer window, his report should be taken with a pinch of salt(?)

Whilst every United fan would love to see Thiago at Old Trafford, I think as with Sneijder the whole thing is becoming tedious and that a resolution is needed sooner rather than later.

Do you really think Moyes is the problem?
Maybe he hasn’t been given as much money as we’re led to believe.
I think it was always going to be difficult to get Thiago, anyway, the fact that he hadn’t made a decsion after all this time speaks volumes.
I’ll be more gutted if we loose Strootman.

Moyes is certainly not the problen because this same thing happened throughout the time of SAF. Man united should just stop linking big players to themselves when they kw they are powerless and lack the ability to lure a big player. Let them start recruiting ??ø? stevenage and other lower clubs and stop playing with fans

Man united have a problem that is still yet to be made known to its fans. I don’t see any reason why a club as big as united will track a player for months without success in a deal. This deal seem like one following the same trend as sneijder, muora and others. Manchester officials what is your problem?

  5. Mirsty-Moore says:

United is not zealous in combating or acquiring d player they wanted.

  6. Obaro Eseh says:

Its a shame and disgrace to united if they can’t secure the services of thiago (a player that has been long linked with them). They had better stop toiling with their fans. I think I’m getting fed up with all these. I getting tired visiting united site and all these blogs with hopes that seem to be futile

Moyes is the problem, with an increas in his wage,we’ll be able to capture him, moyes is just learning to manage a big team, we need a big name transfer to be sure we’ll get there, let him remember we have mourinho and wenger in epl

Man u is never serious when it comes to signing of player. Mr Moyes, better step up and fight for your position otherwise, you will battle for top four.

  10. Paul Tanner says:

you guys and girls saying man utd are going to be trophy less go back to your plastic clubs as man utd will be winning more trophys and will be buying players when the time is right. the team dosent need a overall
