Sporting Lisbon starlet Bruma is attempting to severe all ties with his club following a bizarre attempted kidnapping by his own fans.

Looked at in the same vein as Cristiano Ronaldo and Nani, Bruma shone at the u20 World Cup this summer with 5 goals in 4 games before Portugal were eliminated and thus the 18 year has understandably seen his profile rise.

Bruma made his 1st team debut in February this year and scored his first goal in the following game but his relationship with Sporting has deteriorated massively.

Bruma failed to turn up to pre season training and this week it is being reported that the youngster was the subject of an attempted kidnapping by some of Sporting’s fans at the behest of the club leading Bruma to seek to legally end his contract with Sporting.

Bruma’s representatives have declared him a free agent allowing United to move for him having been linked with the player earlier this year but as their involvement in the incident hasn’t been confirmed Sporting as said to be fighting this in the hope of getting a fee for the highly regarded forward.

United face stiff opposition for Bruma’s signature from Chelsea though especially as his older brother was once under contract at Stamford Bridge and it is believed that the player may have prefer the London club.
