Bale

Gareth Bale is ready to join Dimitar Berbatov and Michael Carrick and draw the ire of Tottenham fans by swapping White Hart Lane for Old Trafford.

The Daily Star are reporting the Welsh star is open to a move to Old Tafford, having learned of United’s interest.

United are said to be ready to pay Tottenham a whopping £60m to appease Daniel Levy and make the transfer a reality, following some bad blood between the two clubs following United’s acquisitions of Carrick in 2006 and Berbatov in 2008.

Levy has been reluctant to do business with United ever since and firmly opposed any move United made for midfielder Luka Modric last summer, instead selling the Croatian to Real Madrid.

But Levy will be hard pressed to reject a bid of £60m from United especially if Bale wants to leave. The Star claim

“(Bale) is attracted by the prospect of joining United now, giving him Champions League football, which he won’t have for a second season in a row with Spurs.”

Former Tottenham favourite Glenn Hoddle advised Bale to avoid Real Madrid and instead head for Manchester but Levy is said to be ready to offer Bale £150k a week to keep him at White Hart Lane, a fee United will have to top if they want to make him the marquee signing they seek this summer.

In reference to last comment get rid of Rooney he’s had his time better players around. Anni can go he’s too inconsistent. Bale is not the savior but he’s part of a collective that could make us into a power house feared club for years in England and Europe comps.

Daniel Levy despises the people behind the scenes at Utd, not your fans or your club, the people who have tapped players up for years and in one case kidnapped them. As long as Levy holds the power Spurs will never do business with Utd you musnt have a braincell between you if you believe otherwise. For Levy it is personal he wont even answer the phone. And should Bale decide to kick up (which I dont believe he will) and turn into a sulking knut the same way Berbatov did after being unsettled/tapped up/Kidnapped he still wont end up at Utd anywhere but Utd we just will not do business with you. Levy will be at Tottenham for a few years to come yet that means no Bale for you lot.
