Cesc Fabregas

Catalan paper Sport claim that Barcelona have rejected Manchester United’s 2nd bid for midfielder Cesc Fabregas.

David Moyes claimed this morning that United were awaiting Barcelona’s response to a second bid for Cesc whilst Barcelona said they would be waiting to appoint a new manager before making any decision on Cesc but Sport claim that United’s latest offer, thought to be in the £35m region, has been dismissed by the Catalan club.

Having previously claimed that the player is unsellable, Barca have softened their stance on Fabregas’s future and and whilst this report is yet to be confirmed, United will remain hopeful of striking a deal for the former Arsenal player.

Just a suggestion but why don’t utd go for de rossi? He’s solid defensively, has a great long ball, would add some serious steel which is lacking from the utd midfield and has a knack for supplying a great killer ball quite often.I know he’s nearly 30 but he would do well for the next 3 years while powell is developing. Also he would cost around £20-25 million. We would need to be quick of the mark as chelsea are apparantley interested aswell
