Januzaj

Adnan Januzaj said yesterday that he sees his immediate future at Old Trafford, and would prefer to be given a chance rather than loaned out.

The attacker has been a hot topic amongst United fans with even those that haven’t seen him play excited by this new prospect from Warren Joyce’s u21 side with a huge chance of making it big with United.

We’ve been here before most recently with the likes of Ravel Morrison and Paul Pogba, but whilst those two left, for differing reasons, before they made an impact on the first team, Januzaj is not only taking his chances when they are being presented but is also making all the right noises.

Januzaj said:

“My target for the season is to try and get some games for the first team.

“I have not spoken to the manager about it yet but I would prefer to do that rather than go outon loan.

“That is what I came here for. Everyone wants to play for Manchester United.”

And he is going the right way about doing this. David Moyes has insisted that he will carry on the United tradition of bringing young players into the first team fold and alongside Jesse Lingard and Wilfried Zaha, Januzaj has arguably been the success story of the tour so far.

Neither of the 3 players have looked out of their depth mixing it with the stars of the first team and despite losing to Yokohama F. Marinos Januzaj again put in a good display:

Moyes said that he will be using pre season to analyse his squad and on the basis of what we’ve seen so far there is no reason for Januzaj not to be in his plans this term.
