A late Wilfried Zaha goal rescued United from another defeat during pre season, after the attacker scored a tap in from an Anderson cross against Cerezo Osaka.

United found themselves behind in the first half following a mix up between Rio Ferdinand and Chris Smalling but having spurned an earlier chance to draw United level from the penalty spot, Shinji Kagawa made it 1-1 on his return to his former club.

Kagawa was then replaced by Zaha who could have handed United the lead after jinking his way past 2 defenders but shot wide before Osaka took the lead again with a stunning effort that left Lindegaard with no chance.

But reminiscent of the manager before him, Moyes’ side found an answer late on when Zaha levelled things up in the 90th minute.
