Despite claims that Manchester United have actively been looking to sell him, Nani believes he still has a future at Old Trafford and has set his sights on impressing new manager David Moyes.

With just a year left on his current deal, Manchester United have been trying to cash in on the Portuguese winger. A move to Galatasaray fell through over differences in the fee United would receive whilst Monaco’s sporting director Vadim Vasilyev claimed yesterday that Manchester United had offered the 26 year old to his club.

But after scoring a brace for a Manchester United XI against Crewe last night, Nani talked up the up coming season to Sky Sports News:

“Of course it’s a bit different when Sir Alex leaves the club, so you can feel the change because you know how important he was for this club.

“The team is the same and we hope the manager comes with ideas to help us to win again.

“Of course, everyone has to prove himself because it is a different manager with different ideas.

“But he knows the players because he has played against them, he has seen the TV and has seen them all these years in the Premier League.

“I think, after a couple of weeks, a couple of months, with the players, he will understand every personality.”
