Gareth Bale

Robbie Savage has told his countryman Gareth Bale that a move to Old Trafford will put him amongst football’s greats.

There has been growing speculation about Gareth Bale’s future, with a move to Real Madrid appearing the most likely outcome.

Manchester United still have an outside chance of securing Bale’s signature if he does decide to leave White Hart Lane, but with relations between United and Tottenham somewhat frosty it appears unlikely.

But United’s hopes may have received a boost after Savage told Bale that a move to his former club could be best for him.

Speaking in an interview with The Sabotage Times, Savage said:

“I think Gareth Bale is an unbelievable talent. He’s got the world at his feet.

“I think to achieve greatness, he has to play at a team who are going to realistically contend for the Champions League and the Premier League. Will Spurs be that one day? I’m not so sure.

“I think to be put on a pedestal with the likes of Ryan Giggs, Thierry Henry, Dennis Bergkamp and Paul Scholes, he has to play for the biggest clubs in the world and I think Spurs are a big club in the Premier League, but in terms of world status; you’ve got to look at United and I’d put Manchester City in that bracket now with the finances.”

In view of such biased remarks against a premiership football team being openly made in the media I suggest that BBC TV sack him as a football pundit.I like him on football focus but this sucking up to Man u is sickening and how can he now be regarded as a neutral open minded commentator.

Savage is entittled to his opinions. Please leave him alone coz the truth that is vomitting is bitter!

    • Bobby says:

He’s entitled to have an opinion but the problem is Man Utd can’t afford Bale and the days of Utd bullying club is over. There are more clubs in direct competition for the best players and sadly for you, many of them have unlimited funds and more charismatic managers.

You missed out on Thiago Alcantara and now you’re allegedly desperately trying to sign Fàbregas, Fellaini and Modric. All of which will come will inflated price tags.

Sorry, but it’s not going to happen.

This is a comment from a self pampering popinjay whose knowledge of football has decreased as his own overblown sense of self-importance has increased. Not wort the read.

Savage should be left alone, u can also have ur say if u are opportune to do so, bale should join a world class club of man utd status if he really want to be counted among d elites

  6. Ray says:

I wish we had the money for Bale, but sadly due to Glazernomics we don’t have anywhere near that sort of cash.

    • Mufc20 says:

Yeah we do have the money they came out and said they can afford players in 70-80 million bracket. Its just competing with madrid is ridiculous they throw money at players.
