Fellaini

Having missed out on Barcelona’s Cesc Fabregas, it appears that Manchester United are ready to look elsewhere in search of midfield reinforcements and have made a move for Everton’s Marouane Fellaini.

The Guardian claim that David Moyes is ready to make the 25 year old his first signing at United with the two clubs opening talks in a £23.5m move.

Having signed the Belgian for £15m back in 2008, a buyout clause in Fellaini’s contract that expires next week will see Everton make a handsome profit on the battling midfielder.

Fellaini is thought to have had offers from other Premier League clubs but is relishing the chance of working with Moyes again, who is looking to strengthen his midfield with the retirement of Paul Scholes and doubts over the fitness of Darren Fletcher in mind.
