David Moyes has admitted Manchester United’s transfer business may be finished, having only signed defender Guillermo Varela from Penarol this summer.

United have been very vocal in their attempts to sign players this summer, but have failed with all of their attempts so far, missing out on the likes of Cesc Fabregas, Marouane Fellaini and Leighton Baines amongst others.

Moyes has said he is still trying to bring in new faces and has 10 days to do so, but has warned he may settle with the team he has as he attempts to retain the title won by Sir Alex Ferguson in May.

Speaking at his Friday press conference at Carrington, Moyes warned:

“There is no pressure to do it. I have an idea of where I’d like to strengthen. If the right players are available, then great, but there is a possibility nothing may happen.”

This will come to the dismay of United fans who, having been linked with a number of names, will be disappointed to see no additions to the squad.
