United To Tie Up Striker Deal

Angelo Henriquez

Manchester United are set to send striker Angelo Henriquez on loan to Real Zaragoza with the two clubs agreeing a season long deal according to Spanish paper AS.

United are keen on the 19 year old who also spent part of last season with Wigan on loan, and whilst he may not get the playing time he needs with the first team, United feel a loan will aid his development more than a season playing for Warren Joyce’s u21 side.

Henriquez, who scored his first senior goal against AIK Footbol during pre season, recently told MUTV that he feels settled at the club and it should be noted that there is no option for the Spanish side to buy Henriquez.

Zaragoza will be playing in the second tier of Spanish football after getting relegated last season and have agreed to pay 10% of Henríquez’s wages but there is no mention of a minimum games clause.

Hopefully the loan is successful like the last time United sent a player to the club.

Barca defender Gerard Pique admits that his stint at La Romareda alongside Gabriel Milito was the making of him (and also alerted Barcelona to both players abilities!) so hopefully the stint works out for Henriquez in the same way.
