Januzaj goal Sunderland

The head of Anderlecht’s academy has admitted his club lost out, after selling Adnan Januzaj to Manchester United for just  £297,000. in 2011.

The midfielder is now one of the hottest prospects in European football, with a number of the continent’s top clubs sniffing around the 18 year old as his contract negotiations with Manchester United continue.

Jean Kindermans has always been impressed with the youngster and realises now that his club should have negotiated a better deal for the star:

“Today we are big losers.

“If the father decides the son is leaving us then we have to make the best deal possible.

“Three years ago, we thought it was a good deal; today, we have to say it was a good deal, but it isn’t anymore!”

The youngster’s negotiations with United are on going, but in  the event that he does not sign a new deal at Old Trafford, the likes of Man City, Juventus and Barcelona are waiting in the wings to snap up the youngster; a nightmare scenario with a similar situation taking place with Paul Pogba just last year.
