Kiko Macheda has revealed that he expects to leave Old Trafford, lining up yet another loan move as he attempts to get some much needed first team football.

Macheda’s career has failed to take off after breaking into the first team with that matching winning stunner against Aston Villa in 2009. After enduring loans at Sampdoria, QPR and Stuttgart, the Italian appeared to find his feet at Championship side Doncaster.

Scoring goals for Paul Dickov’s side, Macheda will curse his luck after the loan spell was cut short by a hamstring injury. The u21 striker returned to Old Trafford for treatment but now the injury has healed, he is set his sights on yet another move away from Old Trafford.

Macheda, 22, is quoted by Tuttomercatoweb.com as saying:

“My future is far from here.

“This week I should go on loan somewhere, I want to find continuity, to do well, to show off.

“And then let’s see … in January.”

The window of opportunity for Macheda is getting smaller and smaller. After his introduction to Manchester United fans in the 2008/2009, he has failed to impress.

Macheda has suffered a fair bit of bad luck with his loans, twice suffering a change of manager just after joining a new club, but at 22 with the strikers ahead of him and those coming behind him he needs to stake his claim for a place at Old Trafford soon.
