Watch The Outrageous Brazilian Star Manchester United Are Trailing

Manchester United are reported to be in the hunt for Cruzeiro attacking midfielder Everton Ribeiro, and from the look of him he may be just what United need to reignite David Moyes team.

Brazilian website Lancenet claim that Manchester United are competing with Liverpool for the 24 year old’s signature and whilst there has been interest from the Middle East and Eastern Europe, it is believed that Ribeiro favours a move to England.

His agent Robson Ferreira revealed:

“Everton Ribeiro doesn’t want to move to a club in Eastern Europe or Qatar. We are going to avoid intermediary markets. We have a career plan for him. If Cruzeiro accept to sell him, it will be better for him to play for a big European team.”

Earlier this year Cruzeiro turned down a bid of €7m from Spartak Moscow for the forward who can operate on either flank or through the middle, and Lancenet claim  that a bid of €8m could secure his services although they hope they can keep him for the 2014 Copa Libertadores

United have sent representatives to check up on the player but are said to be holding off making an approach for the player until they can ascertain whether he will be given a work permit.

Winning the u20 South American championship in 2009, Ribeiro was one of the 2013 Brazilian Série A campaign’s standout as champions Cruzeiro picked up their 3rd title.
