Everton Ribeiro

The  agent of Cruziero’s Everton Ribeiro has confirmed that Manchester United are interest in his player, and claims to have held talks with United representatives.

The Cruziero forward has emerged as a United target in recent weeks, with Ribeiro telling Brazilian TV he would like a move to Old Trafford.

Having starred in Cruzeiro’s title winning season, the Brazilian could move on despite just one season at Belo Horizonte according to his agent Robson Ferreira.

Ferreira told local press:

“Man Utd want him. Moyes has been impressed. I’ve already been to England and talked personally with their representative.

“In United’s opinion he’s the complete midfielder.”

“It’s been an emotional season fighting for the title, and collective and personal honours. The final decision is with the player.”

Moyes yesterday confirmed he is looking to bring players in during the January transfer window in an effort to save United’s floundering season, so Ribeiro could make a £8m move to Manchester as early as next month if his agent’s claims are to be believed.
