Sneijder

Manchester United are set to revive their interest in Wesley Sneijder, with The Guardian claiming United are willing to offer Galatasaray €13m to secure his services.

United’s interest in Sneijder is one of football’s longest sagas, with the Dutchman close to joining United on a number of occasions if the press are to be believed.

Sir Alex famously alluded to passing on Sneijder in 2011 because it would have hindered the progress of a certain Paul Pogba, but with Pogba leaving the following summer, United find themselves going back in for Sneijder.

The Guardian claim that United are ready to meet the 29 year old’s €13m buyout clause to snap him up from the Turkish side, but provide no quotes to back this up.

The story is an easy one, with United seemingly linked with him every year. And with the team in it’s current position it was inevitable that the link would resurface.

Sneijder may not be making waves the way he was when the interest first began back in 2010, but with United bereft of attacking ideas could Sneijder be the man that gets the team flowing again?

At €13m is that a risk Moyes would be willing to take?
