The agent of Manchester United left back Alexander Buttner is eyeing a move away from Old Trafford after claiming he had a deal with the club that would ensure at least 20 appearances this season had been broken.
But with just 6 appearances this term, Buttner’s agent Alexander Bursac claims Buttner wants a move to keep his World Cup hopes alive – despite having never played for Holland before.
Speaking via NOS, Bursac said:
“He has ambitions of going to the World Cup, so it’s clear he must play more games than has been the case.
“Clear agreements were made with former manager Sir Alex Ferguson: In the first season 15 games, in the second 20.
“But after Ferguson’s departure that agreement is worth nothing.”
It’s thought that Besiktas are again interested in the left back and Bursac hopes United cooperate if the Turkish club make an approach:
“United are aware of them and the clubs have also come to me. I hope that the club cooperates in setting up a loan.“
