Nick Powell almost gave United the lead
The Premier League beacons for Manchester United midfielder Nick Powell, after Hull expressed interest in the youngster and are will to make a few changes to secure his services.

Powell has impressed at Wigan this season, scoring goals both domestically and in the Latic’s inaugural European campaign.

Before being dismissed from his position as Wigan manager, Owen Coyle was full of praise for the 19 year old comparing him to the burgeoning talent of Wayne Rooney.

With his spell at the Championship club reaching it’s midway point, it is believed David Moyes would like to see how Powell takes to the Premier League and with a heavy United contingent at the KC Stadium and former United captain Steve Bruce at the helm, Hull would be the ideal setting.

Hull already have Tottenham’s Jake Livermore and Sunderland’s Danny Graham on their books, meaning they aren’t allowed to loan any more players but Bruce is set to kill two birds with one stone by making the Livermore deal permanent and thus freeing up space to bring Powell in.
