Roanldo Ballon d'Or

Former Real Madrid president Ramon Calderon believes Cristiano Ronaldo won’t finish his career at Real Madrid, tipping the Ballon d’Or winner to return to England.

Ronaldo joined Real Madrid from Manchester United in 2009, where he has take his game to another level.

The 28 year old signed a new deal at the Bernabeu during the summer tieing him to the club until 2018, but Calderon doesn’t believe that Ronaldo will see that contract out, claiming the lure of England my prove too strong.

Calderon was quoted by The Sun as saying:

“I do not think he will finish his career at Real. I feel that one day he will return to England.

“In Madrid, he is pleased with the city and the fans, but I think his relationship with [current Madrid president] Florentino Perez is not as good as it was with Alex Ferguson at Manchester United.

“Ronaldo loves father figures. With Florentino, he does not have that rapport. The relationship is bad or actually non-existent. He stays at Real despite the chairman.”

Ronaldo confirmed that he had considered a return to Old Trafford this summer, after Rio Ferdinand attempted to talk him back to the club so he is open to a return.

But with Real Madrid’s rivalry with Barcelona and his on going battle with Lionel Messi, unfinished business in Spain means his return may not be any time soon.
