David Moyes claims Manchester United have no need to go out and replace Fiorentina bound Anderson, because the return of Darren Fletcher has reinvigorated the midfield.

Anderson underwent a medical with the Italian club today ahead of a loan move to the Florence club but his departure will leave United a man light in an already under strength midfield.

Many had hoped that Moyes would bring in fresh faces to shake up United’s charge for the top 4, but the Scot believes Fletcher is as good as a new signing after overcoming a bowel complaint that has seen him miss large parts of the last 2 seasons.

Speaking at his Friday presser, when asked about Anderson Moyes responded:

“We brought Darren Fletcher back and to be truthful we didn’t think Darren Fletcher was going to come back. If he did we weren’t sure when it was going to be. He’s been a breath of fresh air how well he has played. He already knows the building, he knows everything about this football club. So I think getting Darren Fletcher back gave us one other player and he’s done very well in the games already.”

Fletcher’s return has been a huge positive for United this season, as he looks to get back to the form that made him as formidable an opponent in the Premier League as any midfielder.

But some fans will be disappointed by Moyes’ comments, despite being happy to have Fletcher back.

The fact the team are relying on a 29 year old who has spent the best part 2 years on the sidelines speaks volumes, even if it is difficult to do business in the January transfer window.

I wonder why fergurson decided to choose a man with no record as his replacement. Moyes is a confused man who has not handled a big club or signed a big player in his entire life. Big players might not want to come to Man U because they are yet to trust the ability of Moyes…what he needs to do is to try to sign at least one star mid fielder just like Arsenal did so that others will follow suit

What do we need a replacement for? Certainly not Anderson after all he hardly used to play

David Moyes you better spend the cash been released to you for transfer business than seating back to say trash our midfield issues. Fletcher’s return did not change our midfield problems. Do a better business and save your job.

MU downfall is due to the Glazers. SAF done his best on a shoestring budget. SAF could not even pay tens of thousand of pounds to retain Pogba. Money MU earn is used to pay interest and putting into the Glazers pocket. Are you guys sure DM have $200m to buy players or pay them current market salaries?

united need a player like scoles or kean who hold the ball and pass the ball intelligently.again valencia plays well but his final pass shows he still lacks something.
