David Moyes is expected to be in Germany on Friday night to watch Borussia Mönchengladbach duo Patrick Herrmann and Max Kruse as they face league leaders Bayern Munich.

The pair have risen to prominence this season, as Mönchengladbach sit 3rd in the Bundesliga, a point ahead of Borussia Dortmund.

With David Moyes looking to strengthen his United side, he may have to look elsewhere though as Max Kruse was quick to rule out a move away from his side as they chase a place in European football’s premier competition, the Champions League.

Speaking to Bild, Kruse, 25, said:

“Manchester [United]? I don’t think that’ll be an issue any time soon.”

Whilst Kruse’s answer was pretty definitive, 22 year old Hermann was slightly more vague with his answer potentially opening door to a move to Old Trafford in the future:

“It, of course, honours me to be linked to such a club.

“But a winter transfer is absolutely no issue for me. I feel fine here at Borussia, we are playing an outstanding season.

“You should never say never, but the Bundesliga is one of the strongest leagues in the world.”

Hermann could be an alternative to Marco Reus if United are unable to attract the Dortmund star to Old Trafford, but the trip will also allow Moyes to run an eye on Munich defender Dante who was heavily linked with a move to Old Trafford following reports in his native Brazil.
