Parma are eyeing a move for out of favour Manchester United striker Kiko Macheda this summer according to the player’s agent.
Macheda, who’s contract expires this summer, is back at Old Trafford after a second spell with Doncaster Rovers and appeared for Warren Joyce’s u21 side in Monday’s draw with Middlesborough.
With the 22 year old’s departure from Old Trafford all but a foregone conclusion, agent Giovanni Bia has been looking around for a new club for his client and whilst ruling out a January move to Parma, Bia claims that Macheda could head to Il Tardini in the summer.
Speaking to Gazzetta.it, Bia stated:
“For now, the British club is asking for a lot of money, it would be difficult to move in January. Parma do not need a player with his attributes at the moment.
“For June, we’ll see. For now Federico does not mind the idea of continuing in Britain in a different shirt.”
Macheda is unlikely to feature in manager David Moyes’ plans and hasn’t made an appearance for United since 2012 defeat to CFR Cluj in the Champions League.
