Out injured, Smalling remained in Manchester whilst his team mates were in London ahead of Saturday evening’s match with West Ham.
Smalling was forced to apologise in January when pictures of the 24 year old dressed as a ‘Jaeger bomber’ at a Christmas party were leaked to the press. This is a second transgression and asked about the incident, Moyes sternly told the assembled press:
“I’ve dealt with it and I’ve spoken to Chris. That would be as much as I would want to say on it.”
Smalling, who has missed the past 2 games with a hamstring injury, was said to have ran for a taxi after singing United chants so questioned as to whether Smalling would be fit to face Man City today, Moyes remained tight lipped:
“I’ve given you the answer.”
