Manchester United target Miralem Pjanic has put rumours of a move to Old Trafford to bed by finalising a new deal with Roma.
The midfielder was heavily linked with a move to Old Trafford earlier in the season with his deal running out, but the Bosnian has extended his deal to 2018.
Speaking to Sky Italia, the 24 year old said:
“I have never thought about leaving Roma.
“It’s true that negotiations have been long, but also because this has been an important season.
“I wanted to keep my concentration, without talking about the contract. But the club knew my will. We have found an agreement and I’m happy.
“There have been offers from other clubs, but I prefer not saying who. I’ve always thought my future was here.
“Rudi Garcia [Roma coach] counts on me a lot. I think I have made the right choice.”
Interestingly it’s being reported that Pjanic has a €30m buyout clause in the new deal meaning he is still an attainable target if the club look to pursue him.
