PSG striker Edinson Cavani has admitted that his future in the French capital is uncertain amidst reports of interest from Manchester United.
The Uruguayan striker has been linked with a big money move to Old Trafford following a difficult season in France that has seen him play second fiddle to Swedish striker Zlatan Ibrahimovic.
Not equipped to play wide, Cavani is reportedly looking at his options despite a healthy return of 20 goals as well as winning Ligue 1. With United as well as Chelsea reportedly interested, he has options but United are said to be in the driving seat, something only reinforced by Chelsea’s move for Diego Costa.
And Cavani, despite being uncertain, is aware of United’s interest, leading him to suggest that he needs to have talks with PSG’s president.
Speaking to L’Equipe, the 27 year old said:
“My first season in France has been very beautiful, despite the controversy. As for my future – I have to talk with the President and with the club. Manchester United? I do not know how true these rumours are that I have read.”
U re mostly welcome Edinson Carvani.
Cavani your future is bright at Old Trafford. We are all looking after you Cavani
