“It is not clear what will happen with my future.”

August 15, 2012

Universidad de Chile striker Angelo Henriquez has confirmed he will be moving to Manchester United, but claims he is uncertain about his immediate future.

The 18 year old was spotted at The Bridgewater Hospital in Manchester yesterday following his medical and whilst United are still to confirm the move, Henriquez has spoken to the press in Chile ahead of the potential move.

Expressing his delight at joining the team he spent time with on trial in 2011, Henriquez remains uncertain if he will go straight into the first team or if he will be sent out on loan.

Speaking in La Tercera, Henriquez said:

“I am super happy to get to Manchester United. I’m fulfilling a dream,” he said.

“I am going where I wanted.

“You look on television and see the outstanding players, scoring spectacular goals. I cannot waste this opportunity.

“It is not clear what will happen with my future.

“I want to play in the first team of Manchester United. That’s my first thought.

“If they decide to send me on loan, I would prefer to continue at Universidad, although I will do whatever United deem appropriate.”
