Is Sir Alex ready to bury the hatchet with the BBC?

With Man City drawing against QPR last night, Manchester United have the opportunity to got 7 points clear tonight against Southampton at Old Trafford.

After drawing with Tottenham two Sunday’s ago, United have an easier run of games coming up, with ties against bottom half opposition like Southampton, Fulham, QPR, Norwich, West Ham, Reading and Sunderland.

But Sir Alex won’t be lulled into a false sense of security, and in his programme notes for tonight’s game has warned his team not to become complacent:

“Some might feel that presents us with an opportunity to turn the screw… but let’s not fool ourselves into believing that we are now entering a phase against lower teams that presents us with easy pickings.

“That would be a rubbish attitude and I can’t think of an easier way to blunt our challenge.”
