Although he hasn’t had as many chances as his brother Rafael, Fabio has been handed a new contract that will see him remain at the club until 2014.
The left back has been plagued with injuries since signing for us and has made just 13 appearances but its good to see he is still optimistic. Having signed he said,
“Playing for United is every young player’s dream. I’m very happy and proud to commit my future to the club. In the time I’ve been here, I’ve learned a lot from the world class players that I train with and I hope that as time goes on, I can contribute more and more to the success of this great club.”
Now he has signed there is still hope we can put out the dream back line of him and Rafa in the full back positions with Cory and Jonny Evans in the center of defence!
We need him to emulate his brother! Evra cannot be expected to play at that level for 40 odd games every season!
