With a history as an amateur boxer, Wayne Rooney made the choice to let his feet do his talking and as United fans we are all grateful but he has always maintained his link to the world of boxing.
Rooney carried one of Ricky Hatton’s belts to the ring prior to his junior welterweight title fight with Jose Luis Castillo in Las Vegas in 2007 and now he can be seen with WBA heavyweight champion of the world David Haye. Let’s hope Rooney can talk him around to fighting either of the Klitschko brothers!
