Some interesting stories in the paper this morning regarding Man United.

Sir Alex favourite Steven Defour has left the door open to a move to Old Trafford according to IMScouting. A fee of £13m was touted in the article for the player Sir Alex famously sent a get well soon letter to after he was injured.

They clearly haven’t heard Sir Alex is content with the squad he currently has!

Anderson and Owen Hargreaves are set to be the first victims of the new squad of 25 rule. Both are struggling with injury and could see them left out until the squad can be revised in January. Hargreaves’ tendinitis injury flared up again despite it being thought that he was over it and is currently in the States having the injury looked at again whilst Anderson is on the road to recovery having damaged his cruciate ligament against West Ham at the start of the year and it’s thought he could be back in September.

Hargreaves I can understand but maybe keeping a space for Anderson would be wise especially if he will be back in September as scheduled.

Paul Scholes has revealed he was only given 2 hours to make up his decision on joining England at the World Cup. Scholes has said he regrets not going but seeing that he was only given only a short time to make a decision he was well within his rights to turn Capello down.

I guess it’s true what they say, ‘you can’t rush genius!’

And finally probably the most ridiculous yet reoccurring theme in the papers is ‘I snubbed United to join Sh*tty City’. Papers alluded to it with Silva, then Yaya Toure and now Balotelli. Has it not occurred to all the rags running with this nonsensical stories that this is one of a few ways to make a City fan happy, make him feel he’s got one up on United!

I’m giving good odds on Milner making a similar claim or whoever else City sign this summer.

    Get used to it!!!!

As a United’s fan, I feel very very disappoint deeping down in my heart!!!!

We used to be the best, both in and off the field. However, at the moment, City is much better off the field. They keep on spending and bring in top class players to improve the club (and of ourse, make the blue fans happy). While for us, the Glazers keep on using our money for their own debts!!!…

In the very near future, City will of course be better in the field. They have much better quality players (e.g. Adebayor will be loaned out but if he’s with us, he’ll partner Rooney. Their new signings Yaya Toure and Davil Silva are second to none comparing to our midfield, etc.)

Lets face the fact that Scholes, Giggs, Neville, Van Der Sar are too old now. We only have Rooney, R. Ferdinand, and Evra to show out. And if United have play with the like of only Fletcher, Gibson, Nani, Valencia, Anderson, etc, we will win nothing next season (FOR SURE)!!!.

Gazzaro..and you are supposed to be a United fan? Sure you’re not a shitty fan??

I usually don’t insult those who comment but Gazzaro has to be a troll!
That comment was too funny, try not to make it as obvious next time!

You can add Nigel Superstar De Jongs “I snubbed United and wherever i go in Manchester all I see is Man City fans” to the list. Quite sad really. In the space of two days I have read that Balotelli agreed personal terms with us but no fee agreed with Inter then the exact same Italian newspaper two days later says he has snubbed us despite us offering better personal terms. Just goes to show its not just England where Journo’s are of full of sh*t and spout rubbish to sell papers. Anyone honestly believe that at any point we were prepared to pay 30 million for this kid? Not a chance and thats why we havent even tried.

City strike me as a bimbo who just got plastic surgery and gets attention by standing in the middle of the room, but commands little respect and class. They might as well build a phalic-looking monument outside their stadium as they clearly have a “mine is bigger than yours” complex.

Also, what’s the skinny on Defour? Is he really that great? How has he performed in light of being (allegedly) observed for awhile by United?

  6. Chudi Onwuazor says:

Defour is a play maker but not in the mold of how people would assume. Top notch passing but more from a deep lying position rather than further forward like people would assume.
Been largely injured though so hard to tell.
