Well after all the furore caused by his signing and non appearances, Bebe finally made his first appearance in a United shirt and to be totally frank, we appear to have something to work with.

The result will surely be the thing that grabs most people’s attention as United went down 4-1 to Aston Villa inspired by Barry Bannan but looking solely at Bebe’s performance he surely didn’t ‘flop’ as the Daily Fail will have you believe.

With Nani there to give his country man support Bebe looked good out wide, he delivered a ball into the box but the resulting shot from Ravel Morrison was blocked by a defender thus giving United a corner. This would be a recurring theme for the night as Bebe continued to puts some decent balls into the box yet to no end product.

He got more and more into the game as it progressed and showed some quick feet in beating his man as well as good pace and acceleration. Villa seemed intent on stopping him getting any joy though and at times doubled up on him as well as resorting to cynical fouls.

One thing that is noticeable is that Bebe is very much a winger rather than a wide forward player. He seems to have good crossing and likes to get the ball into the box early which is a bonus. I very much look forward to seeing how he develops considering this performance against a very decent Aston Villa side.

Can’t stand the daily fail..They somehow want this kid to flop so that they can go on to picturise SAF as some kind of an idiot for buying him without checking him out first..This is all the more reason why i want bebe to really shine for us and looking at his debut i think we have another gem on our cards..

Read the DM artcile, and it’s amazing to think how difficult it ought to be to become a paid journalist, and yet the industry is predominated by idiots who are clearly biased and write at a 3rd grade reading level.

Bebe’s just gonna have to do his thing, and his lack of English at this point may serve him well. Some supporters may be overly optimistic and think he’ll have a Cantona-like immediate impact, while detractors were ready to write off his entire career before they ever saw him touch a ball. At this stage, we should simply be patient and expect a positive long-term trajectory.

How did Obertan do? (he is one whom we should have slightly higher expectations)

    TRUTHHURTS…does punctuation hurt too?

Obertan looked good, has bulked up and was one of our better players today. Linked well with De Laet on the left may get a look in on Sunday (hopefully)

Saw the game and nomatter what “newspaper” Daily Mail thinks, Bebe did not “flop” and infact did just the opposite as he have’s great crossing ability and easily haves the skill to run wth the ball and take player’s on. It is early days yet but Bebe is clearly a diamond in the rough and will be a big success at United. TRUTHHURTS, try telling some truth idiot as our squad is still the best and futue is a good one unlike your small club’s future. Sir Alex Ferguson will again lead us to OUR Premier Lge.

Here are some highlights of his performance. Granted, I didn’t see the game, but this at least shows some of the quality he has. As Chudi mentioned, he looks comfortable far wide, which no one expected. He also looks very strong physically and he can be sure those crosses would be met by a striker with the first team.
I’m looking forward to seeing him (hopefully) in the upcoming Carling Cup match.

Great news about Bebe considering all the negatives that have been written about his footballing ability in recent times. Hopefully, he will only get better and better, and the same Daily Mail who has so far written him off as a footballer will be the same news daily to request him for an interview, hope then Bebe will do to them what SAF has successfully done for BBC. I am sure Bebe will come of age and SAf will definitely help him do that.

He like a combination of nani and valencia..More like valencia with some additional tricks up his sleeve and also a pretty good crosser of the ball..Also he’s built like a tank and thus holds his own in physical battles..Overall a good debut..
