Great stuff. Terrific from everyone except for Rooney’s PK. Great team defence the whole way through. I will admit to being abit upset with Fergie’s 5 man midfield formation when i saw it, thinking it being a home game, and them with such a questionable centre forward combo, they were there for the taking.. BUT alas, the midfield came up big: Park with the goal and tracking back, Anderson doing everything, Fletcher back to his steely best, and carrick playing with great composure, and of course Nani, our creative speedster, it turned out to be another great decision by SAF. Also, the back 4 were great, getting back that solid, unbreakable feeling from 2 season’s ago. All in All a terrific result. Now time to stomp on Chelsea’s soul at the bridge on Sunday. We are due to take one from them.
Arsenal are so predictable. It’s like deja vu the last several years as some are baited into thinking they’ll actually be improved early in the year, only for the Gunners to prove they’re far below world class. I think Nasri was their only player above mediocrity tonight.
Would’ve like to see us score a couple more, but the 3 points are all that matter. I felt for Berba, but Fergie was proved right with the 5 man midfield. Good stuff from all our players tonight.
He just loves playing against Arsenal, doesn’t he?
