It’s beginning to look a lot like Christmas!
Just over a month ago on November 5th, Salomon Kalou declared to The Sun that Chelsea could wrap up the title by Christmas if United didn’t cut Chelsea’s 5 point lead.
Well it’s December 22nd, United are top and have overhauled that 5 point lead, going ahead of Chelsea by 3 points with a game in hand and a better goal difference, so bar some miracle or a massive mistake at Premier League headquarters it looks like Salomon is wrong but then again why would you trust a man that looks like this?
Didier Drogba added to this by saying our, “Our most difficult opponent is us.” well he perhaps didn’t bank on Liverpool, Sunderland, Birmingham, Newcastle, Everton and Spurs taking points from them and now they face a big task catching up.
Chelsea players have a history of stupid and outlandish claims, who can forget Essien’s magic calculator? So considering they appear to get everything wrong I don’t suppose we can get one of them to say we won’t win the Champions League or that the Glazers will be here at the end of the season?
