Last week Aston Villa’s reserves set the marker by battering Arsenal 10-1 and it appears United were paying attention as they took on Bury in the Manchester Senior Cup.

The reserves were in no mood to play smashing 8 past their opposition to book a place in the final but to be fair it was over before it began with Scholes included in the side.

The team saw Anders Lindegaard make his first appearance for United as well as the likes of O’Shea, Wes Brown, Gibson and Obertan and the difference in class told as Obertan hit a hat trick, Joshua King got 2 and Brady, Vermijl & Fabio completed the rout.
