Kiko Macheda opened his account for Sampdoria tonight helping them overcome Udinese in the Coppa Italia.

Macheda had been playing well and had a left footed shot saved before he took his chance in the 32nd minute.

Some good foot work saw him evade a Udinese defender before a stroke of luck saw him hand Sampdoria the lead. As he struck his shot, he slipped and it managed to loop over the keeper.

Good to see him get a goal and equally good to see him getting into the positions even if you would regard the finish as a fluke!
