On Friday morning United’s u18s took on Bolton at the Eddie Davies Football Academy in a league game.

In a close game Bolton edged it, winning 1-0 via a Sean McGinty own goal (comes as a change to him grabbing a last minute winner against Wolves earlier in the month!)

Cofie hit the bar in the first half and van Velzen had a good shot saved whilst a Zeki Fryers back pass almost allowed Bolton to take the lead but in the second half Bolton, who in all fairness were the better team, broke the deadlock.

A Bolton cross from the right hand side was volleyed back across the goal and deflected off the knee of McGinty past the helpless Sam Johnstone.

John Cofie almost pulled United level but a good save from the Bolton keeper kept things in Bolton’s favour and that is how it would finish.

  1. Despite the fact that I am an atheist, today I have to thank God (or whosoever there is) for hearing my prayers. You see, I was digging for a little bit of information on this specific subject matter, and, right here I have discovered not really a little bit but instead, a bigger bit of information. I can’t tell you how glad I am to have came across your pretty website.
