In a behind closed doors game at Carrington, Man United took on Oldham in the Lancashire Senior cup quarter finals.

A strong side which included Lindegaard, Fabio, Obertan and Bebe were up after 13 minutes when Obertan found Josh King who slotted past the keeper. King would double his tally before the end of the first half when Obertan, coming down the right, found him again in the box and he again put it past the keeper.

Obertan got a third assist in the second half when his clever ball released Bebe to shoot under Oldham’s keeper to make it 3-0. Bebe was subbed after his goal for Davide Petrucci who was given a decent run out to stretch his legs having been out for over a year with a succession of injuries. The Italian impressed with some neat passes and had a chance saved, here’s hoping he is over the worst of his injuries as he is clearly a very talented player.

Next up are Blackburn in the semis.
