Manchester United battled back from 3-1 down to take a point against Wolves reserves last week following late goals from Bebe and Gabriel Obertan.

Wolves took the lead in the match at Telford’s New Buck Head stadium when Mujangi Bia picked up the ball on Wolves left flank cut inside and bent an effort past Conor Devlin. Wolves went two up minutes later when Conor Harris’ long range effort made it’s way through the crowd into United’s bottom corner but United hit back minutes later when Robbie Brady gave the Wolves keeper no chance with a spectacular long range effort. Collecting Josh King’s pass Brady cut in from the right and let rip with his left peg past the hapless Dan East.

But Brady’s night was to end prematurely as he would be shown a red card for mistimed challenge on James Spray. Spray wasn’t happy with the challenge and the two went head to head leading the ref to dismiss both players.

Wolves would extend their lead with another long range effort as United failed to close down Doherty and he struck from 25 yards making the tie look beyond United but United would get a share of the points.

In the 81st minute Obertan raced on to Joe Dudgeon’s through ball and lifted over East to give United a glimmer of hope and it was just what was needed as Bebe also raced clear of the Wolves defence after a long clearance from Ollie Norwood to fire past East and complete the comeback.
