Having posed as United fans and trying to remove the 35 years banner on a stadium tour, nothing should really surprise us about City fans but this is ridiculous.

A Manchester United fan has been threatened with a court appearance after a City fan complained about a sticker displayed on her car according to the MEN.

Sarah Webb-Lee, who is married to a City fan, was ordered to remove the sticker or face a public order offence but she and her husband think the whole thing is a wast of tax payers money and just harmless fun:

“It’s just a bit of banter and you hear worse on the terraces. I see lots of things about United and take it on the chin.”

An agreement was reached when Mrs. Webb-Lee agreed to scrub out one of the offending words.

This is super dumb. It’s such a nothing-offence.

Meh… those kinds of things are tacky as hell anyway and I hate them, regardless of which team they are taking the piss out of.

    Police inspector Stephen Gilbertson said:

“It was something I would term offensive. It was pointed out to the person if they did not do something with the sticker they would be reported for a public order offence. It is dealing with everything in proportion. Someone could see it as offensive but I am happy with the action we have taken.”

A tad extreme I would say!
