Today looked to be a good day.

With Arsenal 2-0 down all we needed to do was score but with Arsenal pulling back to 2-2 and Jonny Evans being sent off it looked like we would miss the opportunity.

Having sat on the bench for the last few games it looks like Dimitar Berbatov may have just won his place back in the first team as his 88th minute goal secured all 3 points and opened a 5 point gap between us and Arsena who failed to complete the comeback and were held 2-2.

We had threatened and they too had a perfect chance to take the lead when Matt Taylor’s free header was easily gathered by van der Sar and United would go on to take the points when Jussi Jaaskelainen spilled Nani’s shot and Berbatov pounced to tap in.

This goal could be massive in terms of the title race but only in May will we be able to gauge just how important it was.

This could be a big win for us and well done to Berbatov. He has been on the bench lately, but this is the way to react. You get on the pitch and score the winner.

As for Evans, his season is going from bad to worse. In a period when we really need defenders he gets himself sent off and a three game ban. He can’t be trusted anymore.

Was a bad challenge but definitely wasn’t any malice and it was the force of him colliding with Holden who also flew into the challenge that made it worse.

As you said, bad to worse for Evans. Bullied on field, dropped, injuries and now the red card hopefully next season is better!

Smalling again looked class..Held his own against davies and thats never easy..Was pretty much unbeatable in the air and even made some good surges forward..Starting to get really really high hopes for this lad..

Smalling class. Valencia and Nani on the wings – loving it. Thought Giggsy was quiet, carrick better than he has been. good times, big finish. this i why being a utd supporter is the best. Have a funny feeling we are going to take out Chelsea in the CL too

it difficult game for us…after this,we will meet west ham…they held spurs on saturday…not an easy away game ahead…thinking SAF will deployed rooney as AMF behind berba & chicarito…lets tony.V & nani running the wings.

Disgusting tackle by Evans. Nearly ended Holden’s career. Players like this have no place in football, he should be banned for life.
