As the season enters it’s final stages Manchester United have utilised our partnership with Desportivo Brasil to sign young Brazilian Rafael Leao on loan having impressed coaches after training with the club earlier this month.

The 17 year old defensive midfielder who turns 18 next week will remain at the club until June 30th and will be the first of the 5 players (which also included Gladstony, Aguilar, Lucas Evangelista and Agnaldo) that came to watch our game with Bolton earlier this month to pull on United colours.

Whilst the midfielder, who has been compared with World Cup winning captain Dunga, has been signed, he has not been given a squad number and will instead play for the u18s and reserves.

United have been building up it’s Brazilian base with signings like Anderson and the Da Silva twins and the partnership with Traffic and Desportivo Brasil should further this.

Yup a lone striker at that, only had a handful of touches. Hope to see more of him in coming weeks.
