Gallery: United triumph in Moscow

May 27, 2011

As United compete in the Champions League final tomorrow night, I thought we should take a look back at the night we last won the competition.

2007/2008 was brilliant season for us; a good team, good football and the joy of watching Cristiano Ronaldo run riot is a memory I won’t be forgetting for a long time.

There were memorable moments through the season my favourite, beyond the final, would be Paul Scholes’ effort at Old Trafford that put us in the final. All those years after missing out due to suspension, Scholes would get his chance to play on European football’s biggest stage and what a match it was.

I don’t need to recount the game for you, it was tense but also entertaining. It had you, as a fan of either team or a neutral, on the edge of your seat and that was before the game even went to penalties.

So click the image to relive that night in the Luzhniki.
